Thierry Marx School,
training the chefs of tomorrow

Learning, understanding, innovating, creating and sharing are the key words of the courses offered by the Thierry Marx College.

By offering professional training courses, located in the heart of the countryside, Thierry Marx College offers the chefs of tomorrow a unique curriculum. It offers them the possibility of practising more equitable cooking, of encouraging short circuits, or even of moving towards a zero waste approach. Thierry Marx’s school, in association with the Collège de Paris, offers an innovative training programme in the restaurant sector, focused on professional integration and social promotion.

Most of the campuses are located in the heart of rural areas to give them pride of place. The rural world, with its farmers and local producers, is at the heart of the educational focus of the Masters courses offered. It is also the basis of Chef Thierry Marx’s values. And this is what he wishes to transmit through the Thierry Marx School’s training courses: values to enable the chefs of tomorrow to become responsible entrepreneurs in the restaurant industry.

The Thierry Marx School, a commitment to the rural world and its producers

Chef Thierry Marx has always had a strong attachment to the Lot department and its rural and local products, such as ewe’s milk cheese and walnuts. It is from this attachment that the desire was born to place his training courses, unprecedented in the professional cooking world, in the heart of rural areas.

Through his school, Thierry Marx wishes to train chefs with solid foundations. The ambition is to transmit this commitment to the rural world through the profession of chef. The educational programme is based on management, innovation, the use of quality products and the environmental and social impact of the restaurant industry. But it is also about revitalising the territories in which these courses are located, with its campus in Paris.

Training tomorrow's leaders to be responsible entrepreneurs

Whether it is through the content or the place of teaching, the Thierry Marx school wants to encourage the social and environmental responsibility of young chefs, to make them responsible entrepreneurs in the restaurant industry.

The objective of the Thierry Marx College is also to be able to deepen the approach that the renowned chef has been taking for a long time: to encourage professional integration and social promotion through quality training. This is why the course of study is intended to be useful for the various professions involved in the restaurant business.

At the end of the course, which combines theory, practice and learning, students will receive a Bachelor or a Ms. This is accompanied by a certification from the Collège de Paris, registered in the RNCP level 6 or 7. The content is structured around several areas such as business management in the specific restaurant sector, culinary innovation and the promotion of products and the region. Whether it is the “Culinary Arts” or “Food & Beverage Management” course, the stated ambition of the Thierry Marx College is professional integration and social promotion thanks to useful and accessible training.
